World Famous Sultana Bar

For a taste of authentic Route 66 history, you gotta check out the Sultana Bar. This place has been slingin’ drinks since 1912 – that’s older than Route 66 itself! It’s seen it all, from the Wild West days to Prohibition, and there are even rumors of secret tunnels used for smuggling back in the day. Step inside, and you’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time. With its pool tables, classic jukebox, and that impressive stuffed cougar, it’s got that old-school saloon vibe. Grab a cold one, relax, and soak up the atmosphere of this Route 66 legend

Cruiser’s Route 66 Cafe

If you’re looking for a casual spot to grab a delicious burger or some tasty BBQ, Cruiser’s Route 66 Cafe is the place to be. Located on the eastbound side of Route 66 on 3rd Street, you can’t miss it – just look for the bright red car perched on the canopy above the patio! With its friendly atmosphere and outdoor seating, it’s the perfect spot to relax with friends, enjoy a cold drink, and watch the world go by on the Mother Road. Don’t forget to try their famous milkshakes – they’re thick, creamy, and the perfect way to cool down on a hot Arizona day.

PINE COUNTRY RESTAURANT

If you’re looking for a delicious and satisfying meal with a home-cooked feel, Pine Country Restaurant is an excellent choice. I’m a big fan of their BBQ ribs, but the breakfast is also a standout. And don’t forget to save room for dessert – their homemade pies are simply irresistible. Pine Country Restaurant is a local favorite for a reason, so be sure to add it to your Williams itinerary

TAKING A WALK DOWNTOWN

Now, after you’ve filled up on some grub and caffeine, it’s time to stretch those legs and take a walk down Route 66. Williams is a town that begs to be explored on foot. Keep your eyes peeled for hidden gems like antique shops, quirky souvenir stores, and maybe even a soda fountain or two. And don’t forget to just soak it all in. The sights, the sounds, the smells – it’s all part of the Route 66 experience.

Addicted to Route 66

Now, if you’re truly addicted to Route 66 – and let’s face it, who isn’t? – then you gotta make a stop at my buddy Xavier’s shop, “Addicted to Route 66.” This place is a Route 66 lover’s paradise! Step inside, and you’ll be greeted by vintage gas pumps and a giant Route 66 shield gleamin’ under the lights. And that’s just the beginning! The place is packed with Route 66 treasures. PETE’S GAS STATION MUSEUM

As you approach the end of the block, be sure to visit Pete’s Gas Station Museum. This isn’t your typical gas station – it’s a fascinating collection of Route 66 memorabilia. You’ll find vintage gas pumps, signs, tools, and other relics from the heyday of the Mother Road. But the real highlight is meeting Pete himself. He’s a true Route 66 enthusiast with a wealth of knowledge and stories to share. Take some time to chat with him and learn about the history of this Historic highway.
