And today, we’re moseying on down to Miami, Oklahoma, a real gem on the Mother Road. You know, that same Route 66 that Bobby Troup sang about in “Get Your Kicks on Route 66.” And just a bit east of where Route 66 crosses through Kansas, after those 30 miles, and through towns like Galena, Riverton, and Baxter Springs.

Now, Miami, OK, this ain’t just another town you breeze through. It’s a place where Route 66 history runs deep, and the local folks are proud to show it off. It is a town that calls itself “The Gateway to Route 66”.

The Coleman Theatre Beautiful: This place is a real showstopper, right on Route 66. Built in ’29, it’s a stunning piece of architecture, a real vaudeville palace. This is the last of the Ku-Ku burger chain, so it is a very special place to visit on your Route 66 journey.
